The Environmental Programs(EP) department at Port Vancouver takes a proactive approach to environmental stewardship. By working closely with Port tenants and other stakeholders, EP seeks to protect and preserve the unique ecosystem of Burrard Inlet while ensuring its continued economic viability. As the first North American port to employ a dedicated team of specialists to address issues concerning the environment, the Vancouver Port Authority shares its vital responsibility with Transport Canada, Environment Canada and Fisheries and Oceans Canada.
